Overview

March 15, 2021: We're Playing! - Athletic Spectator Information

Dear Parents and Patrons:

We have received notice that the Oregon Health Authority has modified the spectator attendance policy for indoor and outdoor athletic events. With these changes we are now allowed to have a larger number of spectators in attendance.  Please see our plan below.

The Junction City School District has developed the following plan for allowing spectators at outdoor home football events plus indoor volleyball.

For outdoor events, we will be allowed 150 people in the grandstands.

Spectators must enter through the main gate on the north end of Peden Field ONLY (Near the tennis courts), login to the QR code cohort tracker, present the completed form page to the attendant, go to the grand stands and maintain proper six foot physical distance with the exception of members of the same party. When entering the event please maintain six foot physical distance while waiting. Mask protocols and physical distancing guidelines will be enforced, and hand sanitizer will be readily available. Spectators will use portable restrooms or the concession stand restrooms. We are excited to have the opportunity to bring back our Tiger spectators and appreciate everyone following these guidelines to ensure this can continue.

Players/Officials/Event Personnel (limit of 150)

Home and Visiting players/coaches will enter Peden Field from the east side of the complex. Officials and other event personnel will be admitted as they arrive through the northwest gate next to the tennis courts. A portable toilet is located next to the  hitting cage which is for the sole use of the JCHS team. The outdoor theater restrooms are for the sole use of the visiting team.

Spectators (limit)

Each football will be given a designated number of tickets which they can distribute to their families or friends. Spectators will enter/exit at the north end of the stadium ONLY (near the tennis courts). This group will be allowed to enter 30 minutes prior to game time.  At no point before, during, or after are spectators allowed to enter the playing area or be at the fencing surrounding the field.  The Bleachers have been marked with blue tape indicating where people need to sit.  People from the same household may sit next to each other.  The goal is to maintain 6 feet from others.

Volleyball

For volleyball our total number of people in the gym has gone from 50 to 100.  We will follow the same plan where each athlete will receive a designated number of tickets to disperse as they choose. Spectators will not be allowed to enter until 15 minutes prior to the first contest.  Spectators will enter through the South East gym doors after completing the QR code cohort tracking form. The gym must be cleared and sanitized between each group that plays.  Please exit the South West gym doors, down the hall, and back outside once the match is completed so we can begin the sanitization prior to allowing the next group of spectators in.

We hope this information helps clarify the ever changing policies. Please contact us if you have questions and thank you for your patience and for doing your part as we work our way through this.

Thank you!

Estimados Padres y Patrocinadores:

Gracias!
