Important Announcement from JCSD

October 7th we will start our "Early Release" schedule. Learning and the daily schedule will look different on Wednesdays than on the other days of the school week.  Students, including JC Option students, will need to check into their teacher's classroom at the usual start time for the day. Teachers will begin the day with a class meeting or TEAM activity and will share with students the tasks related to the day's applied learning activities.  While teachers will not be providing synchronous, live-streamed instruction following the live class meeting on Wednesday mornings, teachers will have recorded lessons or other asynchronous learning materials posted for students to access for the day. Teachers will assign "applied learning" activities and assignments for Wednesdays.  Attendance will be taken and students will be accountable for completion of the activities and work assigned by their teachers; there will be no office hours scheduled on Wednesday afternoons as teachers will be involved in trainings and lesson planning and preparation.
